5 tips to lose weight

Increasing the daily consumption of fresh vegetables
Green vegetables cooked for a short time will give us vitamins and minerals, and are ideal for purifying our body from fat and toxins. For example sautéed green beans, blanched broccoli florets or grilled endives.
Round or root vegetables such as onion, squash, carrot and parsnip cooked for a longer time will bring sweetness to our dishes.
Vegetables in general are rich in fibers that help improve intestinal transit.
The daily consumption of vegetables is shown to help prevent cardiovascular disease. They are an important regulator for our organism and they are rich in antioxidants, essential in cancer prevention.

Chewing 30 to 50 times facilitates digestion, relaxes us and helps us better appreciate what we are eating.
Good mastication is linked to good digestion and proper food absorption. It also has a direct effect on our mood. That’s why it is always advisable to eat in a relaxed atmosphere, without tension or arguments.

• Dinner: light and early.
At seven or eight o'clock.
This should be the lightest meal of the day, so that we can go to bed with the dinner already digested.
Our body is guided by biorhythms, and when the sun goes down and night falls it stops supplying certain substances responsible for our digestion. Besides, our body enters a resting phase, even more so when we go to sleep, when it consumes very little energy.
If we have a large and late dinner all the food our body doesn’t need then, will be turned into reserves, ie fat.
It also helps us avoid frequent digestive problems resulting from going to sleep with a full stomach, like heartburn in the morning.

Avoiding desserts.
When we eat a starter and also a main dish our body has all the nutrients it needs. If we add a dessert, or even fruit, our body detects it as surplus energy and transforms it into fat.
These sugars will also hinder a proper absorption of the foods that we have previously eaten.

• And last but not least, exercising.
Twenty to thirty minutes a day of aerobic exercise helps mobilize fats and eliminate them faster.
Practicing our favorite sport or walking, always adjusting the intensity to our capacity reduces fluid retention and improves our heart’s health.
